Jami + Brandon’s Hermitage Museum and Gardens wedding was a family affair. The man-of-honor was Jami’s brother and she made sure to include him in the getting ready festivities. Jami’s mom also presented her with a set of family spoons that have been handed down. Photographing spoons on a wedding day was a first for me!
They also included their two pups, Henri + Remi, in the ceremony. So dapper walking down the aisle with a garland around each of their necks from Studio Posy. Instead of a traditional unity candle, the couple had family members bring sand from all over the country, their home lands, to be joined together. Symbolic of where they came from since neither of them are from the Hampton Roads area. What an awesome idea! During the reception, Brandon’s father surprised them by getting a family member on the phone who couldn’t be there and he sang to them for all to hear. Such a sweet and touching moment! Family means so much to them and it showed throughout the day. Sunkissed Events was there to help coordinate the day and they did a fantastic job!
Thank you, Jami + Brandon, for choosing me to document your wedding and for allowing me to get to know the two of you, and your cute fur-babies.
