Rings | 2015

Installment two of 2015’s recap is all about the bling! I really enjoy the challenge and creativity that comes with photographing the rings. I love finding new and unique ways to showcase them for each engagement session or wedding. Enjoy my clients’ gorgeous diamonds and the weddings bands that accompany them.

Engagements | 2015

2015 was full of engagement sessions not only here in Virginia but also Miami, Florida and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I love to travel for weddings but love it even more to travel for engagement sessions! It is fun to capture my couples in the place they live, met or are starting their life together as man + wife. Enjoy a sampling of the engagement sessions from this past year!

Nauticus Engagement | Norfolk, Virginia | Jami + Brandon

Nauticus, in downtown Norfolk, makes for a beautiful backdrop for engagement photos. Light, neutral colors and a variety of texture. I recently chose this location to have new headshots taken of myself. You can see some of those on my website!

On the day I met up with Jami + Brandon for their session we had the most beautiful, cloud filtered light. Could not have dreamt up a more beautiful winter day in Virginia. Near the end of the session, the two wanted to incorporate some images with them and their two pups. They were such well behaved dogs!  Can’t wait to get this gorgeous couple back in front of my lens again in 2016 at their Hermitage Museum and Gardens wedding. These two are also a Sunkissed Events couple and I am really looking forward to working with Jill and her team again!

Mechanicsville, Virginia | Engagement | Staci + Sean

I traveled up to Mechanicsville for Staci + Sean’s engagement session. They chose his family’s farm because it meant something to both of them. Staci lived just up the road and they would take a specific path on the property to visit each other when they were courting. It was only fitting to take engagement photos of the two of them walking the path together, as an engaged couple. It is so sweet when clients choose a location that is meaningful to them. They will now have these images to tell the beginning of their love story to the next generation. Looking forward to their wedding this summer!

Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge | Myersville, Maryland | Wedding | Kathryn + Sean

This Catoctin Hall wedding at Musket Ridge in October was the perfect fall affair. Gorgeous views of the valley, perfect orange and red color on the trees and not too cold of weather. Kathryn + Sean picked such a beautiful venue for their nuptials! They incorporated personal touches throughout the day. Kathryn wore cowboy boots and her grandmother’s pin. The mother-of-the-bride made candles for each of the guests (they even made one for my second shooter and I!) and put a slide show together of family photos. The couple had signature drinks available to their guests to enjoy, too.

Kathryn + Sean really made my second shooter and I feel so appreciated throughout the day. It really meant a lot! Two of the kindest people you will ever meet. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making us feel like more than just a vendor on your wedding day. It was a honor to be there to capture it for you!
