A few weeks ago I traveled to Philadelphia for Jennifer + Mike’s engagement session. They recently moved there and wanted to capture this special time in their lives where they were living. Such a great idea! They were so helpful in giving me tips on great lunch locations before the session (because when you are in Philly one must eat a philly cheese steak), where to park and areas safe for me to book a hotel. We started right outside the front door to their apartment with their cutie-patutie of a puppy, Jaime. They live in an up and coming area with super cool pedestrian corridors within the surrounding blocks. Very cool! After they changed clothes, we Uber’d it to Elfreth’s Alley. This alley is known as the oldest continuously inhabited road in America. Then we walked a couple of blocks over to Race Street Pier. I love it when city’s take an unused, industrial space and make it functional again. It was modern and had a gorgeous view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Afterwards, we walked a few blocks down from their apartment and got to know each other more over tapas and sangria. I had such a wonderful time with them and am really looking forward to their June 2016 wedding at the Hermitage Museum!
